ARS MUSICA - Music Shop & Museum in Wallersdorf Attention! Currently appointments only by appointment under 0179/2447629

Ars musica – the music store, was founded in Munich in 2003 by Roland Fritsch, the current owner. The focus is on buying and selling used and historical musical instruments as well as antiquarian sheet music. After 20 years of self-employment in the music trade, Roland Fritsch was certified as an expert for musical instruments of all kinds in 2018 and advises on tricky questions about the age, origin, value and condition of historical and vintage musical instruments and prepares expert opinions for private individuals or public institutions.

The new store in Wallersdorf currently stocks around 1000 musical instruments and more than 50,000 old editions of sheet music. Our approach is to bring older and used musical instruments and sheet music back into a second cycle.

In most cases, the instruments built in Europe, Japan and the USA differ significantly in quality from those imported en masse from China today.

With proper treatment and care, a musical instrument can live for several hundred years. Now and again, of course, professional restoration work needs to be carried out. Our worldwide contacts to the relevant experts are also helpful here. Our oldest instruments in the store date back to the beginning of the 18th century.

The new premises in Wallersdorf also offer the opportunity to visit a small private museum and a reconstructed violin-making workshop by Johann Wurm by appointment. Our variety of exotic instruments will inspire you.

We look forward to your visit!
